What is it about a child's natural desire to build? How can we foster this interest? Is there a natural link between dramatic play, developing literacy skills and construction? There are a number of natural benefits of playing with blocks and other construction items. Often there is a natural evolution to group tasks, where a group of children team up to make a structure. This can be further developed when educators or parents form explicit problem solving tasks for children.
